
Didien Koentjoro – Founder of Koentjoro Martial Arts/ Beladiri
Didien was born and raised in Indonesia, and was fortunate to grow up practicing different styles of Martial Arts including Pencak Silat, Shorinji Kempo, traditional Karate, Kyokushin, Aikido and Taekwondo.
After many years of learning, he developed his own style in 2006, Nashville, Tennessee based on his personal experiences. Some techniques are derived from different disciplines of martial arts and others are through development and creativity. He modified and combined the techniques to be more effective. Teaching martial art is his passion and keep learning from others. He promoted and coached students to national and international tournaments. Conducting black belt seminar and self defense workshop for community.
He is one of board directors of Canada Pencak Silat Federation who is promoting pencak silat in Canada through silat festival and well organized curriculum.

Dr. Hamid Slimi – 1st Degree
He has been practicing Martial Arts since his childhood and has more than one black belt in different styles of Martial Arts (Korean, Japanese, and Indonesian). He is a certified Instructor with a third Dan degree black belt in Pencak Silat and he is the Canadian representative of the Indonesian Pencak Silat Alazhar Seni Bela Diri. His journey of learning martial arts started with Japanese Judo. Then he enrolled in the Korean Hybrid system of Hapkido. Thereafter, he enrolled in different Martial Arts such as the Chinese Wing Chun and Thai Muay Thai. He also practiced Japanese Iaido/Iaijutsu, Jujutsu and Aikido. He is one of board directors of Canada Pencak Silat Federation.

Leadership Program
Leadership program with KMA is to prepare the participants to be leader prior to be assistant instructor. The program focusing on self confidence, safety, communication skills and discipline.
The participants must earn the credit hours and pass the behaviour exam to continue as trainee.
